This Bird Tourism Experience is a bird watching activity in the Mountain Passes of Beceite and the Ebro River Delta that will allow us to observe different kinds of birds, from vultures to pink flamingos.
A birdwatching experience ideal for families, couples and groups of friends who wish to spend a whole day practicing ecotourism and watching birds in their natural habitat.
We will meet in Valderrobres Valderrobres at 09:00 h and will head to the Mas de Buñol farm to observe the feeding habits of the griffon vulture. Once this activity is over, we will travel to the Ebro River Delta to continue our bird watching in one of the most important wetlands in Mediterranean Europe. We will spend the rest of the afternoon until sunset in the Bay of Afacs, in Sant Carles de la Ràpita.
The Beceite Mountain Passes are a mountain range that joins the Catalan Coastal Range with the Iberian System, where in a few years the bearded vulture could come to nest. The griffon vulture has inhabited these mountains since the beginning of its existence and is the all-present bird in our nature tours. Currently there is a feeder of vultures in the Beceite Mountain Passes, in the Mas de Buñol, where we can see the griffon vulture in all its fullness and in the right season, we can observe the hooded vulture and maybe other surprises.
Behind the Passes is the Ebro River Delta, one of the most impressive ornithological reserves in the entire Iberian Peninsula. The visit of this area dominated by flamingos will complete our day among birds.
From this section of ornithological tourism experiences we approach a circular economy that we have been managing for over 20 years, weaving relations with the entire business structure of the territory and all those who are committed to sustainability. We believe in our territory and these experiences are an example, so you may feel involved in the preservation and conservation of our cultural and natural environments.
Our guides and star informers are part of this circular economy and will show you the essence of our territories.
Slow travel experiences to watch birds in their natural environment!
