The Arnes Estrets Route is an average-difficulty guided hiking activity, ideal for mountain lovers who wish to explore secluded natural surroundings and live unique experiences.
Here we propose a 14,6 km route with 600 meters of positive slope through the Estrets River Valley to visit one of the most beautiful and fascinating places of the Els Ports Natural Park, the wildest mountains of Southern Catalonia.
A calcareous landscape that hides surprising treasures: imposing boulders, steep cliffs, winding canyons, rock conglomerates and ravines inhabited by animals such as the Spanish goat, the otter, the vulture or the golden eagle.
Our experienced guides will take you along the north side of the Mountain Passes of Beceite and show you the biodiversity of the native flora and fauna on this impressive massif shared by Aragon, Catalonia and Valencia.
We will start this excursion 3 km from the village of Arnes (Terra Alta). We will follow a path that will take us to the Les Valls River and its splendid rock conglomerates. From there we will begin hiking up and then down to the spectacular Estrets d´Arnes, a stretch between conglomerates along the Estrets River (tributary of the river Matarranya) till we get back to the vehicle.
