The Parrissal Route is an emblematic hiking tour along a spectacular rock and water itinerary which will take us to the heart of the Matarranya Karst. A guided hiking activity of low difficulty, ideal for mountain lovers who want to explore natural environments where to live unique experiences.
Here we suggest an enjoyable 9,8 km route with a 250 m positive slope, along boardwalks and narrow paths where you will observe deep gorges and discover wonders of nature.
Our expert guides will lead you to the heart of the Mountain Passes of Beceite while showing you the biodiversity of this impressive limestone massif shared by Aragón, Catalunya and Valencia.
We will start out from the village of Beceite and drive to the beginning of the route, at the parking space of the Parrissal/Parrizal. From there on we will walk an additional 800 m forest trail, a 2 km long stretch of boardwalks and 2 km more along narrow paths that will take us to the Parrissal Straits, an area where the river runs between high limestone walls that form such a narrow canyon that at certain spots you can almost touch both sides if you stretch out your arms. We will finally follow the same itinerary back to the parking lot.
There is also the option of hiking back to Beceite along a 7 km long mountain trail. That would be a 16.6 km long with a 550 m positive slope hike that would last about 5 to 6 hours roundtrip.
