This Truffle Tourism experience in the Matarranya introduces us to the truffle culture from its knowledge and tasting.
When the French arrived at the Matarranya farmhouses in the 1950s and began to teach the indwellers the techniques of collecting truffles, no one could imagine that this was such and exquisite product.
Today the vast majority of the world truffle production is collected in the province of Teruel and the Matarranya, where we have plantations based on the wild truffle tradition. We will get to know both environments and taste the wonderful black truffle (Tuber Melanosporum).
Our truffle tourism proposal is to visit a truffle farm and get acquainted with this species, and to finally enjoy a black truffle tasting menu in the restaurant of the Hotel La Fábrica de Solfa in Beceite. The visit will start in the village of Beceite.
